(P.S This line, "man, fuck that shit" was stuck in my head the entire day, and I got it stuck in everyone else's, heh.)
I would also like to talk about today 'cause it was a pretty fun day.
But anyway, SUNDAY!
Grandfather woke me up, sounding all panicky and stuffs and saying that I was going to be late for church if I don't rush and stuffs, and I panicked, but it was only 8AM. And church starts at 10AM. And church is a 2 minutes walk away. SIGH.
But it was worth it 'cause DIM SUM BREAKFAST AGAIN!
The adults wanted us (Aaron and I) to compare between the two breakfasts we had on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's breakfast won by a wide margin, but Sunday's breakfast was still awesome.
We had siewmai, hargow and lo mai kai, and this huge ass bao that I can't find in Singapore. Bloody hell, it was so filling. And of course, tea.
Church was.. sleepy. Aaron and I had to sit behind 'cause the front rows were taken. Which sucks because the front two rows are the best. Contradictory to most front two rows in most churches. 'Cause it's on a lower platform and the speaker won't really look at you. Unless said speaker happens to be my grandfather/grandmother, then it's like being watched by a hawk.
I didn't fall asleep though, 'cause Elder Huang was the one delivering the sermon, and I love that man.
So after service ended, we had to wait for the adults to finish socialising, so Aaron went to fish,
and I went to look for my stray.
That stupid fella went missing for a day or two, 'cause he tried to chase my grandfather's car to somewhere far away, and he got hopelessly lost. He didn't have time to mark his territory and stuffs, so he couldn't sniff his way back. Sigh.
XIAOJING JIE ATTENDS OUR CHURCH NOW, oh joy <3 She's such an awesome person okay I love her to bits.
So anyway, my grandparents wanted to take Ruiqi jie's mum out to eat leicha (Shermaine says it's called Thunder Tea Rice in english but I'm not sure) and.. I was horrified 'cause it was full of veges, and nothing but veges.
I tried the soup and I choked. Grossest thing ever.
Anyway, I ate laoshu fen.
And Xiaojing jie came along, 'cause my gramps said we would be bored with all their old people talk, and of course he was right.
Also, looks can be horribly deceiving. I bought this 'cause it looked good, but it tasted weird. I don't know, the whole shop was weird. My grandfather finished this in the end.
Grandfather drove my grandmother and Ruiqi's mum back home, then he came over to fetch the rest of us. Went to buy stuffs! Got biscuits for Novy, and got shandy and some freaking delicious corn soya milk for me! And loads of bubble gums for the child.
Went to visit a church member's stall, and the both of us went crazy trying out shades haha.
Aaron and I went back to BlackShot while the elderly took their nap. I did more of my work, and then we went to play the piano together, and my grandparents came over to watch us.
The look on their faces though. Make me want to take up piano once again. My grandmother wants me to 'cause she said I had talent n'aww, but that's only because the pianist at our church sucks. Plus it was like the right thing for a grandmother to say you know.
Aaron and I had fun laughing at my grandfather who taught us the notes to a song, but he couldn't master it himself.
The house was never quiet with this piano around. There's always somebody trying to play off-key on this old junk. Apparently somebody gave it to them for free or something. My gramps are always getting things for free. It's so unfair okay.
We all sat around the living room to watch some aerobic show, while waiting for horrible pianist's parents to come fetch us to dinner. Grandfather didn't want to drive because driving at night was bad for him. I agree. I don't like the idea of him driving anywhere far alone these days because of that brick-breaking-windows incident.
Grandmother didn't want to go because the food was too unhealthy for her, and it'd end very late, and she usually sleeps at 9PM.
With the cousin waiting outside :)
They came around 6.15PM, and my stupid stray chose to turn up at that exact moment. I WAS THERE FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS, AND HE TURN UP ONLY WHEN I'M LEAVING.
Blur shot because I was rushing to get in the car already. I don't care what anyone says okay? A good dog doesn't have to be a cute or well-groomed one. He is one obedient and loyal dog, and that's all a dog lover really need. I was seriously pissed off when Bair said "yucks" lol.
Then dinner! Bloody hell it was a very boring dinner. Aaron and I were one of the only few young people around, 'cause it was crowded with elders and pastors from all over Malaysia.
We were all so underdressed LOL.
<3
LOL @ Elder Huang's unglam face. I was trying to take picture of the choir behind though.
I don't know why they served the first dish like this. It wasn't even cool or anything.
Heart shaped meat!
We all got bored so we did stupid things like this.
and this.
and this.
and this.
Aaron and I got seriously bored by the time the second last dish was served. 'Cause people kept going upstage to talk and it was so, bloody, boring.
So we decided to "visit the toilet".
Went to play with the fishes at the pond instead. We spent like an hour there, 'cause we were chasing the fishes around with his laser.
The thing ended around 10.50PM, and I didn't want to let my grandfather go when I hugged him goodbye. :(
Horrible pianist's parents drove Aaron and my grandfather home, and Elder Huang sent me back to dad's place. It was so awkward okay. And I felt so bad for him 'cause he's like 65? And he had to drive us back (his house's a few blocks away from mine so it wasn't inconvenient for him okay) all the way back to Singapore at 11PM.
And the worst thing was, there was this huge jam right before woodland's customs, and the queue wasn't moving for half an hour.
He decided to drive back from the second link instead, but he didn't really know how to navigate there, and we had to squint very hard to read road signs, 'cause we both had bad eyesights.
I felt so useless.
So anyway he stopped me at the bus stop, and he drove off, and it was with a heavy heart that I turned and walk towards my dad's place.
I miss my grandparents terribly, and I really want out from this place.
